Meet the Cast
Steven Bono Jr.
Ghost, Gravedigger, First Actor, Lucianus
Steven Bono Jr. is an actor and slam poet living in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. He received his BA/BFA from Marymount Manhattan College and since has started an immersive theater company, excelled in TV and film, and been a slam poetry winner at the Nuyorican poets cafe. This is his first time appearing in The international Fringe Festival. You can also catch him all of October appearing in ‘A Clockwork Orange’ at the Sage Theater. New York credits include Up and Away (Lincoln Center), The Mysteries (The Flea Theater), The Events (New York Theatre Workshop), The Haunting of Ichabod Crane (Park Avenue Armory), Sondheim's Birthday Benefit (New Amsterdam Theatre), and Hamlet in Hamlet (American Theatre of Actors). Regional credits include Coach Darling (Williamstown Theatre Festival) and The Canterbury Tales (Ovalhouse Theatre in London). Recent Film/TV: “Law & Order” (NBC), “Losing It With John Stamos” (Yahoo!), “George Seurat Special” (A+E Networks), "My Little Red/Green Coat" (world premiere at NYMF). Jessica can be seen this fall in Up and Away at Lincoln Center and in the live choir for The Christians at Playwrights Horizons. Proud member of The Bats, The Flea Theater’s resident acting company. Trained at The British American Drama Academy and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Jessica graduated from Swarthmore College with high honors in Theater and Political Science, and from Space Camp with high honors in Model Rocket Launching.

Virginia is a comedian in New York City. Most often, she performs Improv Comedy with teams such as Dropping like Flys and Going Rogue. This is her first appearance in the FringeNYC festival.
Alex was born in Manhattan and raised in the midwest. After graduating from the University of Kansas, he began his professional acting career in Kansas City before returning to New York City. He has studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade and his improv group Day Camp Kids had a 3 year run of their show, Tug of War, at the People's Improv Theater. Alex is a current member of The Flea Theater's resident acting company The Bats, where he made his debut in the Drama Desk Award winning 5-hour epic, The Mysteries. Dan is thrilled to be a part of Hamlet the Hip-Hopera! A graduate of Northwestern University, Dan has performed in numerous independent films as well as Distilled Theatre Company's recent production of "Stripped". Dan is currently a student at The Upright Citizens Brigade, and performs improv and stand-up comedy all over the city. You can find more information at dan-selinger.com. Playwright, Producer, Music Director, Hamlet
Tucker has been the playwright, producer, and music director for Hamlet the Hip-Hopera at Tufts University (2011), The American College Theater Festival (2013; Awarded for Outstanding Lyrics and Composition; Harold & Mimi Steinberg National Playwriting Award Finalist) and as a staged reading at Times Square Studios (2015). Actor: 9-Ball (Cape Rep Theatre). Production Assistant at WGBH (2012-2013; Martha Speaks, Arthur, Curious George). Tucker is currently an account executive at SpotCo, where he implements the advertising campaigns for Lincoln Center Theater, On The Town and Hamilton.
She is a company member of Spicy Witch Productions and Drawing Room, a Brooklyn based artist collective. The debut run of Hamlet the Hip-Hopera was the first show Alison stage managed at Tufts University, and she's excited to see it going to such great heights. Now a Tufts University alum, Alison is excited to be working on HHH once again while moonlighting as a Program Manager at Microsoft. alictai.github.io
Grace is a Tacoma, Washington native and recent graduate of Tufts University. Throughout her studies, Grace worked in sound design, music direction and composition, and also performed in theater, musical theater, opera and mime. She currently lives in Brooklyn and, in her spare time, she likes to write a song or two (www.soundcloud.com/grace-oberhofer). She is both grateful and extremely pumped to be a part of the HHH team!
Marnie is a New York city based costume designer who, after receiving a BA from Tufts University, has been working in theater and film. Hamlet the Hip Hopera is her first NYC design credit and she is excited to be making her debut with fellow Tufts graduates and this amazing cast and crew.
Sam is a nomadic fight director and stage combat instructor presently located in Denver, Colorado. She has been training and working in theatrical violence for over six years. She has taught at Northwestern University, her alma mater, and assisted Fight Master David Brimmer in his classes at NYU. Her favorite fight choreography credits include We Band of Brothers, Cymbeline (also directed by Phoebe Brooks), The Princess Bride and Redemption: Tournament of Heroes. She also works as a stage manager, carpenter and writer. She is thrilled to have been a part of Hamlet the Hip Hopera and work with these exceptional and passionate artists.
Devin is a freelance casting assistant in NY currently performing in 123, a world premiere at the San Francisco Playhouse. In New York she is one half of Icky and Chunky, a monthly clown show at The PIT theater.
